Things to Think About for June 2006

By Polly | June 1, 2006

Taking a vacation this summer? Now is the time to start thinking about all the things you need to pack and do before leaving. Just start writing them down as they come to you during your day or use a vacation checklist to get you started.

Stock your car with some basic necessities to have on hand while out and about this summer. Some things to include are sunscreen, first aid kit, beach towel or blanket, juice boxes or small bottled waters, snacks, and paper towels. Also consider throwing in a disposable camera for those moments when you don’t have your camera and wished you did.

Father’s Day is June 18th, so start thinking now about what to get that special Dad in your life. Handmade Father’s Day gifts are a great inexpensive option that kids can make in their free time, or visit Amazon’s Father’s Day Gift Guide for more ideas.

Start thinking about your July 4th plans. You can use our local area activities to help find parades, festivals, and fireworks in your area and our patriotic craft kits for decorations.

Remember to schedule your family time this month. Schedule it as often as works for your family, but just schedule it! Read through our family night ideas and local area activity section for more suggestions.
