Raves, Craves, and Not so Fave’s - Webkinz
By Polly | April 3, 2007
Welcome to our new weekly installment of Raves, Craves, and Not So Fave’s where we talk about the things we love and sometimes the things we don’t.
We’ll start off on a positive note and talk about the latest rave with my daughters, Webkinz. Webkinz for those of you who don’t know, are small furry stuffed animals you can find at most card and gift shops. Each animal comes with a name and secret Webkinz code you use to gain access to a multitude of games and activities at the Webkinz website. When you adopt a pet, you build them a home and complete it with furnishings, clothing, and dinner by playing interactive games and activities that earn you “kinz cash”. You can invite friends over to your home where you can “chat” in a very controlled environment (pet owners are only allowed to ask questions from a pre-approved question list and respondents must answer using the pre-approved response list - there is no free unfiltered chat). For those who love to compete, you can head on over to the Tournament Arena and challenge fellow players to games. The large Webkinz cost about $10 and the smaller ones cost around $8. This is a rage taking the country by storm!
